Current Model Routers[edit]

Chromecast requires a router running a 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n wireless network. Newer routers using a 5 GHz band will simply not work with Chromecast since it doesn't have a 5GHz antenna. However, all the 5GHz routers we've come accross allow you to simultaneously run a 2.4GHz signal, so they should still work with Chromecast. See the solutions for your router below or check your manual on how to do this.

(This list is updated by community members rather frequently. You can also check google's compatibility list.)
